I love offering flexibility to the team members of Thousand CPA because the one thing we know is that not everyone is in the same place in life. I have a very large family, and I’ve been able to maintain my job and have the flexibility to be there for my family and make them come first. They understand that things come up, families are really first here, and work is second. Families don’t stop during tax season. You can spend that time with your family and not feel bad about it, you know, oh, I kind of cut my Friday short.
Nicole really believes in that, and I think it comes from the top down. Everyone she hires also believes in that, so I think it’s just ingrained in our culture. Spring Break is something that, being in a CPA firm, you just don’t get to go because it’s right when tax season is happening. And I just think that’s silly because not everyone has the same spring break. Not everyone even has a spring break yet. So to me, having the flexibility for them to have that time with their family lets them enjoy what they do because they don’t feel like they’re having to make choices.
